ROYAL DUBLIN GOLF CLUB

A Real Links Course

A wind that tests you, lots of rough, spectacular coastal views; yes, Royal Dublin has everything you'd expect from a true links course

Truly challenging on an island nature reserve, 20 minutes from Dublin Airport and downtown Dublin.

The Royal Dublin Golf Club is one of the hidden gems of Irish golf. This links course has been challenging the great and the good since 1885. Its location, besides being beautiful, could not be more convenient to Dublin Airport or the city. Moreover, the Royal Dublin welcome is legendary, as is our history.

With such a challenging course, it's no surprise that it has hosted all of Ireland's top championships, starting with the Irish Amateur Open in 1894. The Royal Dublin Golf Club has also regularly hosted the Irish Amateur Close, the Irish Open and the Irish PGA.

Since 1889, the Royal Dublin Golf Club has been located on Bull Island, a sandbar formed when the Bull Wall was completed in 1825 by Captain William Bligh of 'Mutiny on the Bounty'. Bull Island is a protected nature reserve, connected to Dublin City by a single lane wooden bridge. It is a 20 minute drive from Dublin city center and a 20 minute drive from Dublin Airport.
